The Biomechanics Congress is held annually and will take place for the first time in Montpellier, focusing on the theme of Biomechanics in Growth.
It is with great pleasure that we are organizing the 51st Congress of the Biomechanics Society. With its 90,000 students and nine competitiveness clusters, some of which are recognized worldwide, Montpellier is France's fifth largest city in the field of research and home to the oldest medical school in the Western world still in operation. It is both a medieval city and a renowned center of modern architecture, with buildings by Jean Nouvel, François Fontes, and Ricardo Bofill. It hosts numerous international festivals. It has six UNESCO World Heritage sites and offers many activities in a rich and varied natural environment. Montpellier is now one of the major cities that make up the French biomechanics landscape.
Three high-quality plenary lectures are scheduled:
Biomechanics and growth in relation to pregnancy and remodeling: Kristin Myers (US).
